Aya Healthcare has a contract-opportunity for an experienced Patient Service Specialist to support a 13-week assignment with a dynamic healthcare facility in Olympia, WA

Assignment Details

• Start: Early May
• Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8am–4:30pm
• Pay: $17.50–$19.50/hr
• Department: Cardiology
• Type: Contract, Onsite
• Length: 13 weeks
• Onboarding: 1-2 weeks

This position serves as the primary patient-facing contact, providing appointment scheduling, registration, insurance verification, payment processing, and support while ensuring accurate documentation and a positive patient experience.

Requirements for Patient Service Specialist:

• 1 year of experience using Epic (EMR) system
• 1 years of patient services experience
• 1 year of recent experience working in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting
• Familiarity with patient registration processes
• Experience with patient referrals / authorizations
• Prior experience verifying insurances / benefits plans

Please note: Candidates without Epic (EMR) experience cannot be considered.

Duties of Patient Service Specialist:

• Provide effective and efficient front office services to patients for all ambulatory/outpatient departments serving a large hospital system in Olympia, WA, with a specific focus at a Cardiology clinic.
• Coordinate internal and external clinic phone communications among staff, patients, and providers
• Accurately collect records and ensure distribution to appropriate staff via computer and/or manual systems
• Perform clerical, scheduling, and records activities in support of patients and staff.
• Participates as a fully engaged member of the care team, by demonstrated commitment to service and compassion for the patients of the facility and their families.
