Job Summary:

This position is for HHA/PCA position in Riverhead, NY. Female English/Spanish speaking aide required .

Personal care services may include but are not limited to:

• assistance with nutrition and diet activities such as shopping and meal preparation;
• performance of household services such as changing bed linens, making beds, washing dishes, cleaning the kitchen, dusting and vacuuming rooms, shopping for essential supplies;
• assistance with basic personal care such as bathing, grooming, bathroom and/or bedpan routines, walking, transferring from bed to chair or wheelchair; and
• assistance with self-administration of medications.

Male/Female HHA/PCA needed in Riverhead, NY. for in-person position immediately.

Duties:

- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, and dressing

- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients

- Remind for medication under the direction of healthcare professionals

- Perform light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation

- Document patient care services accurately and timely

- Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality

- Assist with medical documentation and record keeping

Experience:

- Prior experience in caregiving or home health aide roles required

- Familiarity with working in homecare setting or similar healthcare settings

- Ability to lift and move patients safely, ability to use hoyer lift.

- Experience in providing care to individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus

Requirements:

- Valid current HHA/PCA Certification.

- Authorized to work in USA

- Two professional references.

- Valid Current annual physical with updated immunizations.

ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY: There is a zero-tolerance policy for the acts below.

- Smoking, drinking using any form of addictive consumables in patient's home.

- Being on personal phone at patient's home while working, other than an emergency which must be explained.

- Unprofessional behavior of any kind either with patient or with the staff at Axzons.

Pay: $19.50 - $20.00 per hour
