Cloud Software Consultant

Overview

We are seeking our new Senior Cloud Software Consultant to join the Axway team!

We are searching for a bilingual new colleague with a passion for Cloud technology and a burning desire to learn. Being resourceful, highly organized and independent will make you a perfect fit for our team.

You will be part of our Cloud Application team, providing assistance for issues that arise with the applications or platform, and also configuring and implementing specific cases using Axway products for our final established Cloud customers. This is a hands-on position that requires good problem solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

For the position, you will be exposed to Cloud technologies & standards used mostly in the Accounting & Banking industries and you should be willing to work on a variety of tasks:

• Apply ITIL processes on handling tickets via ServiceNow (“on call” is possible);
• Follow up closely monitoring alerts of customers’ platform availability;
• Perform analysis, debugging and find workarounds and solutions to fix the issues;
• Communication with multiple stakeholders (internal or external);
• Understanding, interpreting & implementing functional specifications (written in French or English) by customer, translate into technical specification;
• Perform unitary testing, regression testing for validation purposes;
• Deployment of evolutions/fixes on customers’ platform;
• Update Axway components on customers’ environments;
• Vulnerabilities mitigations;
• Perform optimizations and automations to improve efficiency;
• Documenting the undertaken activities;

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in technical consulting/ technical support role;
• Experience with scripting tools: Shell Scripting;
• Basic knowledge of Linux (Bash scripting);
• Experience with commercial Cloud platforms (AWS: IAM, EC2, Auto Scaling, VPC, S3, EFS, EBS, Glacier, RDS, Route53, Load Balancing, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, etc);
• One year experience on Kubernetes (basic knowledge);
• Knowledge of database SQL concepts (understanding database design, creating/modifying tables, views, users, writing basic queries);
• Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, etc);
• Understanding of client’s server software architecture;
• Basic knowledge on REST API;
• Experience with deployments and troubleshooting Functional and Technical Web applications;
• Ability to work in virtual teams;

Nice to have:

• BS in Informatics, Computer Science or equivalent;
• Business analysis experience;
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms;
• Experience with Java;
• Knowledge on Docker;
• Experience with Cloud Azure;
• Knowledge of technical components such as LDAP, VPN, SSL etc;
• Monitoring tools (Kibana/Grafana);
• Working / being knowledgeable with banking / finance system;
• Experience with integration of ERP and/or Accounting product;
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies;

-         Good command of French language – both written and spoken.
