At Axos, we’re looking for a Vice President of Procurement to lead high-impact initiatives that drive cost efficiency, mitigate risk, and elevate vendor performance across the enterprise. Reporting directly to the SVP, Head of Procurement, this role offers the opportunity to influence key business decisions, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and build scalable procurement strategies that support our growth. Responsibilities: Develop sourcing strategies in conjunction with key business partners to ensure achievement of business requirements Develop key category strategies, including outsourced services and IT/development, in collaboration with stakeholders, to address risk, total cost, supply, etc. Monitor economic drivers, supply market, to assess impact to Axos. Liaise with key internal stakeholders to determine their product and service needs; collaborate to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations are anticipated and met. Proactively bring cost management opportunities to stakeholders Source and engage reliable suppliers and vendors, and initiate business and organization partnerships Examine and test existing contracts; renegotiate as required Lead contract negotiations planning and execution, in collaboration with internal stakeholders Provide counsel to key stakeholders on both key legal and business terms during contract negotiations Develop vendor spend database and tracking Support an improved source to pay process, including proper review of contracts by all necessary stakeholders, support coordination with Purchase Order creation Oversee preparation of regular management reports and spend analysis (e.g., total vendors, vendor changes, new vendors, top vendors, Open Purchase Orders, highest vendors, contract compliance, etc.) and develops/reports on key performance indicators to measure performance and internal/external customer satisfaction levels. Track and report key functional and contractual metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness Control spend and build a culture of long-term savings on total cost of ownership Ensure contracts terms meet regulatory guidance and requirements. Ensure vendors and contracts are properly reviewed with Risk, Legal, and other stakeholders for proper due diligence Qualifications: Bachelors' degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or relevant degree 7 years of procurement or related experience Deep experience working in procurement consulting, finance shared services, and outsourcing environment including procurement with thorough understanding of accounting controls in a Sarbanes Oxley environment, and managing or oversight of multi-entity and multi-state processes, including managing external service providers and vendors Experience with managing RFI/RFP process for large complex categories of spend Experience with implementation and operational management of requisition to PO process Demonstrated problem solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset and able to work with complex business challenges Excellent analytical abilities and ability to apply mathematical concepts such as statistical data, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Experience collecting and analyzing data Demonstrated negotiating experience and networking skills Good leadership capabilities Proficient in Microsoft Excel Preferred: MBA Banking experience Experience with online sourcing / procurement tools Axos Employee Benefits May Include: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Paid Sick Leave, 3 weeks’ Vacation, and Holidays (about 11 a year) HSA or FSA account and other voluntary benefits 401(k) Retirement Saving Plan with Employer Match Program and 529 Savings Plan Employee Mortgage Loan Program and free access to an Axos Bank Account with Self-Directed Trading About Axos Born digital-first, Axos delivers financial tools and services that allow individuals, small businesses, and companies to access and manage their money how, when, and where they want.
