About the role
Axle Logistics is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Analytics Intern to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world transportation and logistics challenges, contributing directly to our operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.
What you'll do
- Gain exposure to the supply chain industry, specifically third-party logistics
- Develop business analytics skills
- Learn various sales skills - visualization software, operating systems, automation
- Build a board of directions (business network) throughout the summer
- Participate in a community service activity to cultivate community awareness and the growing needs of surrounding neighborhoods
Qualifications
- Current Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Data Analysis Tools: Demonstrated proficiency and hands-on experience with:
- SQL: Ability to write and understand basic to intermediate queries for data extraction and manipulation.
- Microsoft Excel: Strong skills in using advanced functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, conditional formatting) for data modeling and analysis.
- Power BI (or similar BI Tool): Familiarity with building basic dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
- Analytical Aptitude: Proven ability to quickly learn complex business processes and translate raw data into actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present technical findings.
