Position Overview
The Occupational Therapist (OT) at the Client–Flagstaff plays a vital role in enhancing residents’ independence and quality of life through individualized therapeutic programs. This role focuses on restoring functional abilities, promoting recovery, and fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary care teams.
Essential Job Functions
- Revitalize Patient Lives: Assess and evaluate patient needs, designing comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Deliver Innovative Care: Evaluate patient functioning using approved techniques and create tailored therapy programs to restore mobility and independence.
- Empower Recovery: Administer occupational therapy modalities focused on upper extremity function, sensory skills, and daily living activities.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Coordinate with Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Nursing for integrated, patient-centered care.
- Uphold Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.
- Supervise and Support: Oversee Occupational Therapy Assistants to ensure quality and compliance in therapy delivery.
- Maintain Documentation: Complete all clinical and billing documentation promptly and accurately using electronic systems.
- Continuous Learning: Engage in professional development through workshops, research, and networking to enhance clinical expertise.
- Adapt and Contribute: Perform additional duties as required to support the success of the healthcare team and residents’ well-being.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
- Licensure: Active Occupational Therapist License in the State of Arizona (required)
- Experience: Entry-level candidates welcome; prior experience in acute care, long-term care, or rehabilitation preferred
Certifications:
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
- TB Skin Test (2-step or QuantiFERON Gold Blood Test required at Flagstaff facility)
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- COVID-19 vaccination or signed declination
Skills & Attributes:
