Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Hodges, South Carolina (100% Onsite)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our customer’s Iron Foundry operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with a strong background in equipment installation, process optimization, and safety improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational excellence, ensuring safe and efficient manufacturing processes, and supporting capital projects from concept through commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage equipment installation projects, including planning, vendor coordination, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Drive safety improvement initiatives across foundry operations, including risk assessments, hazard mitigation, and compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for new and existing equipment.
Support capital project execution, including budgeting, scheduling, and technical documentation.
Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Provide technical support for maintenance and operations teams to resolve equipment and process issues.
Ensure all engineering activities align with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards.
Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role within an iron foundry or heavy industrial environment.
Proven experience in equipment installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards, including OSHA regulations and risk assessment methodologies.
Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo, project management tools, and data analysis platforms.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
Experience with automation and control systems in foundry operations.
