What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior CNC Programmer position at Axis Product Development?
We are a growing CNC machine shop in need of an experienced Sr. CNC programmer. We are looking for an individual with the following experiences:
- Creating NC programs and proving out manufacturing process for 3, 4, and 5 axis machines
- Advanced background of HAAS , DOOSAN and Matsuura control - familiar with operating the machine
- Designing fixtures / Workholdings for efficient machining (Maximizing the table space)
- Experienced with CNC machine setup, operation and program troubleshooting
- Knowledge of high precision machining using a variety of materials
- Advanced Knowledge of speed, feed, and cutting tools for variety of material
- Comfortable meeting tight tolerances ( /- .001”)
- Motivated, honest, and dependable
- Familiar with using QC equipment to validate parts against drawings
- Ability to lift up 65 lbs (Moving work holdings / Vise / Raw Material)
Must have 5 years of programming experience in MasterCam
Common list of material used in our shop:
- Aluminum 7050, Titanium Grade 5
- Stainless Steel (17-4, 303, 304, 316, 455, …)
- Plastics (Delrin, ABS, PTFE, PEEK, PC,….)
- Inconel 625, 718
