What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Clerk position at Axis Pipe and Tube Inc?
Brief Summary:
Responsibilities:
· Attend to pre-shift daily meetings conduct by the shift lead/supervisor, to go over safety talk, daily priorities, and buildings schedules (per production planning reports), check the non-scanned pipe from SAP report and the yard planning.
· Responsible for maintaining the pipe inventory, including but not limited to, customer, product size, weight, grade, and the location of each pipe being stored.
· Maintains pipe inventory yard along with location of pipe.
· Conducts an annual physical inventory of the yard.
· Responsible for completing any assignments given by Supervisor, even those assignments not specifically listed in this job description.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); is preferred.
· Or one to three months related experience and/or training.
· Must be able to read and understand the Standard Operating Procedure for the position held.
· Must follow basic Safety Rules and Regulations.
· Pass required physical
· Computer experience (Office)
Working Conditions:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
Physical Requirements:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
