Looking for your next travel nursing assignment? Axis Medical Staffing is recruiting experienced Registered Nurses for multiple travel RN openings in Billings, Montana. We're hiring across ICU, Emergency Department, Operating Room, Labor and Delivery, and Med Surg/Ortho-Neuro specialties.
These are separate specialty-specific assignments, not a position requiring nurses to rotate between unrelated departments. We'll match you with opportunities that fit your recent clinical experience.
Available Travel Nursing Assignments
ICU Travel RN: 12-hour night shifts, 36 guaranteed hours. Adult medical and surgical ICU caring for critically ill patients, including ventilated patients, complex cardiac cases, and neurological emergencies. Two years of ICU experience required. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required. Floating between critical care units may be necessary.
ER / Emergency Department Travel RN: 36 guaranteed hours with variable 12-hour shifts. Busy emergency department treating trauma, cardiac emergencies, strokes, sepsis, and other acute conditions. Two years of ED experience at a Level III trauma center or higher required. BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and de-escalation training required.
OR / Operating Room Travel RN: 40 guaranteed hours. Surgical cases include general, orthopedic, neurological, vascular, robotic, and trauma procedures. Two years of OR experience and BLS required. Shift schedules and call responsibilities vary.
Labor and Delivery / LDRP Travel RN: 36 guaranteed hours. Care for labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and antepartum patients, including high-risk obstetric cases. Two years of relevant LDRP, Labor and Delivery, or postpartum experience required. BLS, NRP, and AWHONN fetal monitoring required. Call and weekend rotation apply.
Med Surg / Ortho-Neuro Travel RN: 12-hour day shifts, 36 guaranteed hours. Care for orthopedic surgical recovery, neurological conditions, and medical patients. Two years of acute care experience required. BLS and qualifying NIHSS certification required. Floating to other Med Surg units may be necessary.

Experience: Minimum two years in the relevant clinical setting

First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Montana RN licensure or valid multistate compact practice authorization is required by the assignment start date. Exact schedules, certifications, weekend rotations, floating, and call requirements depend on the selected specialty.
