Position Overview
We are seeking a CAD Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will assist our licensed surveyors and field crews by drafting plats, boundary surveys, division surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, topographic maps, site plans, construction work-maps, ect. using Carlson Survey. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to build a long-term career in land surveying.
Responsibilities
- Draft boundary, topographic, and construction survey drawings in Carlson Survey
- Process and clean up field data collected by survey crews
- Create plats, easements, and exhibits per local and state standards
- Work closely with project managers and field staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain organized project files and drawing standards
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Carlson Survey
- Prior experience in land surveying or civil drafting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret legal descriptions and plats
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Minimum 1 year experience preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
