Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient service, and clinical procedures. Our clinic is a very small volume clinic focusing on exceptional customer service, effective communication, and whole-person health. Phlebotomy skills are required as we do in house lab draws.
Responsibilities
- Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories.
- Administrative duties include answering phone calls, assisting with prior authorizations and referrals
- Administer medications by injection
- Phlebotomy for in house lab draws
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems to ensure accurate patient data entry.
- Coordinate patient appointments and follow-up care.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
- Engage with patients to provide exceptional service and address their needs effectively.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- 2 year or greater experience in a medical assistant role or relevant healthcare position is preferred.
- Professionalism with attention to customer service
- Familiarity with Family Medicine
- Proficiency in EHR systems and understanding of medical terminology is essential.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is required to assist in patient care effectively.
- Phlebotomy training and experience
