Duties

• Perform a variety of hair services including hair extensions, coloring based on color theory principles, hair styling, and nail care to meet diverse client needs.
• Provide expert eyelash extensions and makeup application to enhance clients’ natural beauty.
• Conduct barbering services such as straight razor shaves and hair threading with precision and care.
• Manage appointment scheduling using salon software like MINDBODY to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools and workstations thoroughly after each service.
• Assist with retail sales by upselling hair products, retail math calculations, and recommending suitable items to clients.
• Support front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, checking in appointments, and handling client inquiries professionally.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair styling, coloring, nail care, and customer service excellence.

Experience

• Proven experience in cosmetology or barbering with a strong knowledge of salon procedures and sanitation practices.
• Skilled in hair extensions application, color theory, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care techniques.
• Familiarity with salon management software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for scheduling and client records.
• Excellent communication skills to engage clients effectively and provide personalized recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining high customer service standards.
• Prior experience in retail sales within a salon environment is preferred but not required.
