Axis CNC is a precision CNC machine shop located in Richland, WA, specializing in parts for the aerospace, defense, nuclear energy, and medical industries. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 3- and 5-axis CNC mills
- Read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T
- Inspect and verify part quality to tight tolerances - Sometimes down to .0001"
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve machining processes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety regulations
Skills
- Proficient in basic math for precise measurements and calculations
- Proficient in the use of calipers and other precision measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
Qualifications
- 1 years of CNC machining experience
- Familiarity with HAAS 3- and 5-axis machines
- Experience with Mastercam is a plus but not required
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (required for compliance with ITAR regulations)

This position is intended for someone with some basic machining knowledge, but not a ton of experience. We'd be open to hiring an experienced machinist as well, with pay DOE.
