What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist I position at Axis Clinicals LLC?
This is a part time position at our Grand Forks, ND location.
The Phlebotomist's primary purpose is to effectively collect samples throughout clinical research trials. The Phlebotomist will demonstrate precision in blood sampling collection and have the ability to multi-task during study conduct. The Phlebotomist will assist in the conduct of clinical trials to ensure protocol activities are completed and deviations from the protocol are minimized.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ability to communicate clearly and precisely with AXIS Clinicals staff and subjects regarding study tasks and complete responsibilities in a timely manner. Assist in carrying out activities listed in the study protocol and accurately document study data or use electronic capture system. Comfortable working with the general public. Assist in distribution of meals and fluids to study subjects. Carry out check in activities such as breathalyzer tests, bag check, and other study protocols. Monitoring subject safety in clinical trials and assist in escorting subjects after dosing. Demonstrate proficiency in: Blood and urine collection, blood and urine processing, vital sign collection, electrocardiogram (ECG) collection, and accurately documenting study data. Assist in study conduct to ensure all activities are completed and deviations from the protocol are minimized. Assist with participant screenings prior to clinical studies as needed. Demonstrates good customer service skills to promote the retention of study participants.
Skills and qualifications: Must be self-motivated and able to respond to urgent needs of the clinical team. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Have a flexible work schedule and able to work according to the needs of study participants. Exhibits good computer skills and able to learn new technology as needed. Ability to read, write, and interpret the English language.
Previous Experience: Previous phlebotomy experience preferred.
