What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dimensional Inspector position at Axis Aerospace, Corp.?
We are seeking candidates to join our energetic team who is dependently and team orientated. We are seeking a safety oriented, dependable and dedicated candidate with the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and meet strict deadlines. Successful candidates will have the ability to set up and operate press brake to assemble metal by shaping, locking, staking, or press fitting.
A Dimensional Inspector examines materials received, finished products and work in process of fabrication into metal products to ensure conformance with work orders, drawings and template specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reads and understands drawings, blueprints, and CNC programs to determine dimensions, tolerances, and materials.
- Proficient with use of measurement equipment, such as height gauge, calipers, micrometer, radius gages, pin gages, bore gages etc.
- Experience with PolyWorks and CMM Manager software.
- Verifies conformance of finished piece to specifications.
- Signs in and out of work orders for each job.
- Completing quality logs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and/or experience implementing AS9102 document requirements and standards.
- Preferred but not required experience using automated inspection equipment such as a Brown & Sharpe Global Advantage CMM and Faro Arm PCMM

Work activities involve combinations of walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, bending, lifting and carrying and standing for extended periods and performing some very repetitive activities.
