We're recruiting for an Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join an established OEM near Meadville, PA.
You'll work on custom industrial machinery from design through manufacturing, testing and commissioning. We're open to experienced engineers or strong recent graduates with relevant machinery design, internship or co-op experience.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop custom industrial machinery and equipment
- Create 3D models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
- Prepare BOMs and engineering documentation
- Design mechanical components, frames, piping and equipment supports
- Complete engineering calculations and support material/component selection
- Work directly with welders, machinists, fabricators and assembly technicians
- Coordinate with electrical and controls engineers during machine integration
- Support structural, thermal and flow analysis
- Participate in design reviews and factory acceptance testing
- Troubleshoot mechanical and equipment performance issues
- Support installation, startup and commissioning at customer sites
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline preferred
- 2-5 years' mechanical design, project engineering or machinery experience preferred
- Strong recent graduates with relevant internship or co-op experience will be considered
- Experience or exposure to industrial machinery, capital equipment or engineered-to-order systems
- SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD experience
- Understanding of machining, welding, fabrication and mechanical tolerances
- Knowledge of piping, pumps, valves, structural design or thermal equipment is advantageous
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working directly with manufacturing and shop-floor teams
- Ability to travel overnight several times per year
