Demand Planner (Manufacturing experience is essential)

You will be working for a well-established manufacturing and supply chain business supporting high-volume production operations across North America. Our client is recruiting for a Demand Planner to join their team in return for a salary in the region of $60,000 – $85,000.
The Demand Planner will be responsible for supporting forecasting, production planning, reporting, and supply chain coordination activities to ensure accurate demand visibility and operational efficiency across manufacturing operations.
Duties and responsibilities of a Demand Planner:
- Support demand forecasting activities and ensure planning deadlines are met.
- Coordinate approval workflows and communications for production and planning schedules.
- Maintain forward-looking visibility of production campaigns, forecasts, and business priorities.
- Monitor production orders, planning dates, and out-of-resource items to identify risks and delays.
- Support high-priority production campaigns and planning initiatives.
- Develop and maintain demand planning reports, forecast analysis, and trend reporting.
- Analyze data to identify risks, shortages, forecasting gaps, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Support planning teams with issue resolution, prioritization, and day-to-day coordination activities.
- Maintain and update SOPs, planning documentation, and reporting processes.
- Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Planning teams to support operational efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience within demand planning, supply chain coordination, production planning, or purchasing support.
- Experience within manufacturing, consumer goods, packaging, distribution, or industrial environments preferred.
- Strong ERP/MRP systems experience is required.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities.
- Experience with forecasting, shortage reporting, inventory planning, and production coordination.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify supply chain risks and support proactive resolution activities.
