The primary objective for this Operations Supervisor position will be the management of the day to day operations of a multi-warehouse facility.
Duties And Responsibilities
AXion Operations Supervisor will:
- Perform warehouse functions such as shipping and receiving, data entry, and operating a forklift to load and offload vehicles.
- Manage customer relations by communicating effectively with the customer to identify needs and responding to and handling any inquiry and/or issues that may arise.
- Maintaining productive and safe operations in the areas of quality, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and facility performance measures and labor within the warehouse.
- Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.
- Accountable for leadership of 20 employees in problem resolution to facilitate fast improvements and improved working relationships.
- Interview new hires and provide on-the-job training and additional training for existing employees when needed.
- Approving timesheets and PTO for employees.
- Perform operational audits to ensure compliance with customer procedures and expectations.
- Lead daily Safety Toolbox Meetings for the team.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- BS/BA degree preferred or equivalent work history/experience
- 3 years warehouse experience
- 2 years management experience
- 2 years Petro/Chemical Plant experience required
- Advanced knowledge of SAP or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven leadership skills, the ability to motivate, create accountability, and inspire teamwork
- TWIC card
- Pass a Functional Assessment verifying their ability to kneel, squat, lift and carry 50lbs, climb ladders, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness
- Ability to plan and manage work in an efficient manner
- Ability to work well under stress and time pressures
