Inventory Controller

Position Purpose:
The AXion Inventory Controller is a critical role that will focus on driving continuous improvement, providing a solid platform for growth, and instilling a culture of excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities:
AXion Inventory Controller will:
- Maintain system-to-physical inventory accuracy through routine cycle counts and wall-to-wall inventories
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis
- Monitor and control inventory movements (receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments)
- Ensure proper documentation and system updates for all inventory transactions
- Utilize SAP (e.g., MB51, MIGO, movement types 101/261/311) or WMS to track and validate transactions
- Generate and analyze inventory reports (stock status, aging, usage trends)
- Maintain accurate bin location and material master data integrity
- Support KPI tracking (inventory accuracy %, cycle count compliance, shrinkage, aging inventory)
- Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, and operations teams to ensure material availability
- Support inbound/outbound logistics processes (receiving, picking, staging, shipping validation)
- Assist in material disposition (obsolete, excess, damaged inventory)
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO compliance where applicable
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Significant work experience in Materials & Warehouse operations background/maintenance experience
- Industrial equipment and materials knowledge
- Capable of delivering results and meeting aggressive timelines
- Strong problem-solving and implementation planning skills
- Effective interpersonal and team building skills
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite)
- Intimate Knowledge of SAP MM/WM or equivalent
- Highly developed critical analysis skills and creative thinking
- Valid Driver’s License Required
- Ability to kneel, squat, lift and carry 50lbs, climb ladders, etc.
