Clinical Research Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist
Location: Colton, California Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour depending on experience Schedule: Monday through Friday, weekends off Full-time and part-time positions available Urgently hiring
Requirements Snapshot: Applicants should have at least two years of medical assisting or phlebotomy experience. Experience working in a clinical research environment is strongly preferred. Candidates must be comfortable performing blood draws and assisting with patient visits.
Axiom Research is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist to join our clinical research team in Colton. This position supports clinical trials and works closely with Clinical Research Coordinators and investigators to ensure study visits run smoothly and documentation is accurate.
This role is well suited for someone with experience in a clinical research or medical office setting who is comfortable working with patients, performing blood draws, and assisting with study procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include assisting Clinical Research Coordinators with participant assessments such as blood pressure, urine collection, blood draws, and EKGs. The position also involves preparing participant visits based on the coordinator’s schedule and ensuring that all source documents, assessments, lab kits, and other study materials are ready and accurate for each visit.
The Medical Assistant will create and maintain patient charts for assigned studies and file laboratory results, EKG reports, and study-related communications in the appropriate patient records. Additional responsibilities include maintaining inventory of study supplies such as lab kits, assessments, and participant materials, and assisting with timely data entry and query resolution for case report forms according to sponsor timelines.
Applicants should have two to three years of experience in medical assisting or phlebotomy. Experience in a clinical research environment is preferred. An associate degree is preferred.
