What You'd Do In This Role:
As a Director Of Operations, you'll run the company’s daily execution across all departments from our headquarters in Hudson, Ohio. This role is responsible for managing personnel, coordinating departmental outputs, enforcing accountability, and ensuring leadership has real-time visibility into the business.
This is a leadership role for someone who can serve as the central control point of the organization—collecting information from all departments, preparing it for internal meetings, presenting it to executive leadership, and ensuring follow-through.
This is a strict, high-discipline, in-office role. The right candidate is professional, highly organized, constantly available during business hours, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment with fluctuating workloads.

- You have 8 years of experience managing operations and/or multiple departments
- You have proven experience supervising teams and enforcing accountability
- You have strong report writing and presentation skills
- You have executive-level decision-making and judgment
- You have excellent organizational and time-management skills
- You have a professional demeanor at all times
- You have a willingness and ability to travel as required- espcially by airplane
- You have a verifiable history of excellent attendance in prior roles
- You're willing maintain constant access to email and phone during business hours
- You have the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
- You have a willingness to work in-office daily

- Have experience in regulated, compliance-driven, or safety-critical industries
- Have a background in transportation, industrial services, or professional services

What Winning Looks Like:
Department & Team Management
- Run and manage all internal departments and staff
- Assign, track, and enforce completion of daily and weekly tasks
- Coordinate interdepartmental communication and execution
- Hold employees accountable for performance, deadlines, conduct, and responsiveness
- Act as the primary escalation point for operational and personnel issues
Accountability, Policies & Standards
- Enforce company policies, including attendance, time-off, and availability requirements
- Track PTO, travel schedules, and staffing coverage
- Ensure all staff maintain professional conduct, communication standards, and appearance
- Address performance and conduct issues directly and promptly
- Maintain consistency in expectations and execution across the organization
Sales Oversight (Interim Responsibility)
- Provide interim oversight of sales operations until a dedicated Sales Manager is hired
- Track sales activity, pipeline status, and follow-ups
- Ensure leads, proposals, and contracts are progressing on defined timelines
- Coordinate sales-to-operations handoffs to ensure commitments are executable
- Verify pricing, scope, and delivery alignment prior to final commitments
- Prepare sales pipeline summaries and forecasts for executive review
- Hold sales personnel accountable for responsiveness, documentation, and follow-through
This role does not carry a sales quota and is not responsible for direct selling.
Reporting & Documentation
- Produce professional, executive-level written reports and summaries
- Ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and clearly presented
- Track operational metrics and departmental performance
- Support internal audits, inspections, and operational reviews as needed
Adaptability & Growth
- Learn Axiom’s business model, services, and regulatory environment quickly
- Adapt to changing workloads and priorities
- Support new initiatives, service lines, and operational changes
- Maintain effectiveness during periods of high activity or rapid growth
- Consolidate operational information into clear summaries, reports, and presentations
- Prepare and manage internal leadership and team meetings
- Present operational status, risks, action items, and priorities to executive leadership
- Maintain continuous situational awareness of company operations
- Provide frequent, proactive updates to the COO
- Wear business-professional dress and appearance
