We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower individuals with diverse needs to live fulfilling, independent lives. Duties

• Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare teams
• Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and care plans to ensure safety and compliance
• Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist with meal service to promote proper nutrition
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties in residents’ living spaces and common areas
• Support residents during outings or community activities to foster social interaction and engagement
• Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies

Experience

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health care settings preferred
• Hands-on experience with patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring required
• Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, autism spectrum disorders, and developmental disabilities highly desirable
• Familiarity with care plans, HIPAA regulations, HIPAA-compliant documentation, and patient monitoring techniques essential
• Experience with emergency response procedures such as CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility or transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts
• Background in long-term care or hospice environments is a plus for understanding complex patient needs
