Summary:
We are hiring a Platform Support Engineer β . .NET/Java to provide in-depth technical assistance and operational support for business-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft and Linux ecosystems, relational databases, and backend integration tools. You will also work closely with customers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent performance and rapid issue resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver Level 2/3 support for enterprise applications using .NET 4.0 and Java backend services.
- Manage application environments hosted on IIS and Java middleware (Tomcat/JBoss).
- Conduct root cause analysis and log investigation using tools across Linux and Windows systems.
- Write and modify shell scripts for automation and diagnostics.
- Administer Samba shares, Redshift clusters, and Oracle/PostgreSQL databases.
- Collaborate with global teams and act as the primary customer interface for incident management.
- Utilize J Shuttle and Shamba tools to support deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Provide input or minimal support for Informatica-based ETL processes.
Skill Requirements:
- Experience in .NET (ADO.NET, Entity Framework) and Core Java
- Proficiency in relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Redshift, PostgreSQL)
- Deployment and support experience in IIS and Java application containers
- Linux support skills including Bash scripting and diagnostics
- Familiarity with file systems (Samba), monitoring tools, and custom deployment platforms
- Solid communication and issue-tracking experience
Desirable Add-ons:
- Customer support background, preferably in production environments
- Understanding of cloud ecosystems (especially AWS)
- Awareness of DevOps workflows and tools
