CMA Responsibilities
As a Certified Medication Aide (CMA), you will:
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to physician orders and facility policies.
- Document medication administration and resident care in electronic medical records.
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns promptly to nursing staff.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and personal care.
- Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights.
- Maintain medication carts, medication rooms, and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Promote a safe, clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents.
- Support resident engagement and quality of life through compassionate interactions.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, caregivers, families, and other team members to provide outstanding resident care.
Qualifications
- Current Kansas Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in good standing.
- Current CPR certification preferred.
- Previous experience in assisted living or long-term care preferred.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents as needed.
