As a key leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that all facilities consistently deliver the highest standards of care, maintain regulatory compliance, and support the development of nursing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical oversight and leadership to nursing teams across all four facilities, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.
- Develop and implement best practices in nursing care and clinical operations to enhance the quality of care and patient outcomes.
- Lead the coordination and standardization of policies and procedures across facilities, ensuring consistency in care delivery.
- Conduct regular audits, reviews, and evaluations of each facility's clinical performance, patient care plans, and MDS processes.
- Support Directors of Nursing (DONs) in addressing clinical challenges, staffing concerns, and compliance issues.
- Drive clinical improvement initiatives, including QAPI (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement) programs, and ensure timely response to any identified areas for improvement.
- Act as the primary resource for regulatory updates and ensure all facilities remain compliant with CMS, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and other relevant guidelines.
- Mentor and develop nursing leaders, including DONs, MDS Coordinators, and other senior clinical staff.
- Assist with strategic planning related to clinical capabilities and clinical operations, including resource allocation, staffing models, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment across all facilities, promoting teamwork and communication among clinical and administrative staff.
- Ensure accurate clinical assessments and clinical documentation are in place at all facilities.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing, with prior experience in a senior nursing leadership role, such as Regional Nurse Consultant or Director of Nursing (DON).
- Knowledge of MDS 3.0, RAI processes, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and compliance standards in long-term care.
- Proven leadership and management experience, with the ability to oversee and guide multiple nursing teams across different locations.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to travel regularly between facilities, each within a half hour drive, as needed.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems such as PointClickCare or other EMR platforms.
