Role Description The Director of Business Development is a full-time, on-site role based in Mount Vernon, IL, responsible for driving growth and strengthening Axiom Care’s presence in the region. This role develops and executes business development strategies, identifies new market opportunities, and builds relationships with referral sources, healthcare partners, and community organizations. Daily activities include generating leads, conducting onsite visits and presentations, overseeing proposal and contract processes, and monitoring performance metrics to ensure goals are met. The Director collaborates with facility leadership to align business plans with resident care priorities and works cross-functionally with clinical, operations, and marketing teams to support sustainable growth. This position also involves continuous market research, competitive analysis, and participation in local events to enhance brand awareness.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in New Business Development and Lead Generation to identify, qualify, and convert growth opportunities.
- Experience in Business Planning, including strategy development, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Proficiency in Contract Negotiation, with the ability to structure agreements that support organizational and partner objectives.
- Strong Account Management capabilities to maintain and expand relationships with referral sources and key stakeholders.
- Background in healthcare, senior living, or rehabilitation services is highly beneficial.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse professional audiences.
