We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at Axiom Gardens of Flora. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will play a crucial role in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of our Nursing Department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department.
• Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating our written policies and procedures.
• Ensure that reference material maintained at the nurse's station is current and recommend materials that will assist the nursing department in meeting the day-to-day needs of residents.
• Develop and periodically update nursing service objectives and statements of philosophy.
• Assist in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents' total regimen of care.
• Ensure that all nursing personnel are following their respective job descriptions and participate in the development, maintaining, and periodically updating written job descriptions.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
• Monitor the facility's QI, QM and survey reports and provide recommendations to eliminate problem areas.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Registered Nurse with current unencumbered state licensure.
• Must have, as a minimum, 2 years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility.
• Must have, as a minimum of 6 months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and general public.
