This is done through partnership with Superintendents and Project Managers, leveraging technology, continual training and development, semi-annual performance reviews and feedback processes and supporting individual growth.
This role requires availability for evenings and weekends to support first aid outside of standard hours.

YOUR NEW OPPORTUNITY
Axiom Builders is striving to create a supportive, engaging and passionate safety culture across all of our construction sites. This role requires availability for evenings and weekends to support first aid outside of standard hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and enhance safety by tracking issues, maintaining records of incidents, and suggesting improvements;
- Conduct orientations, training, and safety coordination for workers and subcontractors;
- Perform safety inspections, hazard assessments, and provide guidance on tool and equipment usage;
- Lead emergency response, manage First Aid resources, investigate incidents, and collaborate on safety record management.
- Two or more (2 ) years related experience in a safety position acquired in a construction setting (residential ground-up construction preferred);
- OSHA 10 is mandatory, OSHA 30 preferred;
- Additional training in safety an asset including but not limited to, WHMIS, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform etc.;
- Thorough knowledge of all applicable State legislation regarding Occupational Health and Safety;
- Effective time management, organizational and problem-solving skills, including an understanding of accident prevention and cause analysis;
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Must be able to coach, facilitate and influence a cultural and behavioral change in the workplace regarding safety.
