Essential Functions :
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. We are currently recruiting a Patient Services Support Representative at Athena OBGYN.
Essential Functions :
- Greet patients/visitors and assist them accordingly.
- Perform registration functions for new and existing patients.
- Promptly and professionally answer telephone calls (as well as retrieve messages that are received via answering service).
- Route calls appropriately, offering voicemail, or redirection of calls as needed.
- Phone employees to meet visitors, directs visitors to appropriate waiting areas, and appropriately and courteously screen solicitors for relevance to organizational needs.
- Collect and record copays as required.
- Schedule patient appointments per guidelines.
- Conduct phone calls to confirm patient appointment for the following day.
- Provide support to patients and medical staff.
- Assists in scanning documents into the EMR.
- Adheres to Patient Confidentiality Policies and HIPAA regulations.
- Adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and standardized quality control methods to provide the highest quality of patient care.
- Minimum completion of 2 years of high school or general equivalency diploma (GED).
