Location: Carmel, Westfield and Noblesville, IN.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00 am-4:30 pm and Friday 8;)0 am-3:30 pm. No Call, No Nights, No Weekends
Position Description
Provides ultrasound diagnostic services as directed by physicians including scheduling, patient care during procedure and communication with patients.
- Performs routine and diagnostic ultrasound images.
- Interacts with physicians and other technical staff to provide quality, safe and efficient care for the patient.
- Follows guidelines for probe handling and infection control.
- Follows examination protocols under the guidance of the physicians on duty.
- Oversees patient scheduling.
- Explains procedures to assure cooperation and optimum test results.
- Positions patients, selects appropriate transducers and machine settings.
- Conducts scanning procedures.
- Ensures maintenance on ultrasound equipment.
- Orders and stocks all ultrasound supplies.
- Maintains all ultrasound records, reports and files.
- Demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness in handling all customer interactions.
- Performs all other duties as may be assigned from time-to-time.
Minimum Education/Experience
Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college/technical school.
Three to four years of directly related experience will be accepted in lieu of Associates Degree at the discretion of the practice.
and1 to 2 years related/applicable experience.
Licensure/Certification
Certification is required: Current ARDMS or eligible
Current CPR certification
