Role Description
Axia Electric is seeking a Wastewater Electrical Commissioning Agent for a full-time, on-site position based at the North City Pure Water Facility for the City of San Diego. This role will be responsible for overseeing electrical commissioning activities, including testing, inspecting, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with project specifications. The candidate will collaborate closely with project teams, engineers, and city representatives, preparing detailed reports documenting commissioning activities. Additional responsibilities include identifying and resolving technical issues and ensuring all work meets industry standards and safety regulations.
In this role, you’ll:
- Oversee electrical commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting for wastewater systems
- Collaborate with engineers, project teams, and city representatives
- Ensure systems meet specifications, codes, and safety standards
- Document commissioning activities with detailed technical reports
Qualifications
- Proficiency in electrical system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning
- Experience with inspection and maintenance of wastewater electrical equipment
- Strong understanding of industry standards, codes, and safety regulations
- Technical skills in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and project drawings
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with teams and clients
- Ability to produce detailed technical reports and maintain documentation accuracy
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and PLC programming is a plus
- Relevant certifications or licenses, such as an electrician’s certification, preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experienceÂ
