[NARRATOR] 20s-40s, any race/ethnicity. Charismatic storyteller with strong comedy and movement skills. Excellent contemporary rock voice. [THIS ROLE IS CAST]

[JOSEPH] Male, 20s-30s, any race/ethnicity. Jacob's favored eleventh son, gifted at interpreting dreams. His confidence alienates his brothers, but his abilities ultimately bring him power in Egypt and lead to reconciliation with his family. Vocal Range: Tenor.

[JACOB/POTIPHAR] Male, 50s-60s, any race/ethnicity. Doubles as JACOB, Joseph's father, and POTIPHAR, a sophisticated Noel Coward-type. Strongly comedic, and sings.

[THE BROTHERS] Male, 20s-40s, any race/ethnicity. Eleven distinctive character performers. Strong singers and dancers with varied physical types and comic personalities. Several feature in specialty musical numbers:

[PHARAOH/BROTHER] Male, 20s-40s, any race/ethnicity. Featured Brother, doubles as PHARAOH. Strong singer with comedy and movement skills. Elvis Presley-style rock-and-roll performer. Vocal Range: Strong rock singer.

"ONE MORE ANGEL IN HEAVEN" [FEATURED BROTHER] Male, 20s-40s, any race/ethnicity. A strong character singer with comedy and Country/Western style.

"BENJAMIN CALYPSO" [FEATURED BROTHER] Male, 20s-40s, any race/ethnicity. A strong character singer with Harry Belafonte-inspired calypso style.

"CANAAN DAYS" [FEATURED BROTHER] Male, 20s-40s, any race/ethnicity. A strong comic singer with Jacques Brel/Maurice Chevalier-inspired French chanson style.

[BUTLER/BAKER/BROTHERS] Male, 20s-40s, any race/ethnicity. Two contrasting character Brothers who also play the BUTLER and BAKER. Strong comic performers. Vocal Range: Tenor/Baritone.

[APACHE DANCER/BROTHER] Male, 20s-40s, any race/ethnicity. Exceptional dancer with strong partnering and adagio skills. Also a strong singer.

[THE WIVES] Female, 20s-40s, any race/ethnicity. Excellent all-around dancers with strong singing voices and distinct personalities.
