ABOUT THE PRODUCTION
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat
Lyrics by Tim Rice | Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber
Director: Nick Hrutkay · Music Director: Charles Santoro · Choreographer: Maggie Savoie · Casting Director: Michael Cassara
Producer: Andrew DePrisco
“Joseph is filled with boundless imagination as Lloyd Webber and Rice wrote this for children to perform and watch,” says director Nick Hrutkay. The creative team is reimagining the show to retell the Biblical story of Joseph and his eleven brothers through the eyes of modern young people. “Our production has a group of kids on a field trip to the museum and the Narrator dreams up a world where the museum comes to life as a pop/rock concert as we go back in time to tell the story. The kids then take over the museum and the adults in the cast become their playthings to give a childlike sense of fun and wonder to this whimsical family show.”
