Summary
- Location: Salt Lake City, UT
- Duration: 12 Months
- Design high-pressure steel natural gas pipelines for the Feeder-Line Replacement program.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards, including Code of Federal Regulations Part 192.
- Provide technical and design support for pipeline routing, layout, and valve placement.
- Design pipeline crossings for rivers, interstates, and highways using open dig or trenchless construction methods.
- Conduct engineering analyses of pipeline stress from internal pressure, external loads, thermal expansion, soil loads, and seismic effects.
- Specify pipe materials and coatings and procure materials.
- Prepare and submit engineering documentation, including calculations, forms, and checklists.
- Track project schedules and monitor budgets.
- Develop pressure test procedures and support commissioning activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design drafting, right-of-way agents, cathodic protection engineers, and environmental specialists.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering from an accredited college.
- 4-7 years of relevant experience.
- Foundational understanding of high-pressure steel pipeline materials and construction practices.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, communication tools, and engineering analysis software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
