We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Painter and Prep Specialist to join our team at Axelon Services Corporation. As an essential member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on aircraft surfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, sand, mask, and tape aircraft surfaces with precision and attention to detail.
- Mix, apply, and smooth cosmetic fillers to achieve a flawless finish.
- Spray various materials, such as primer, topcoat, and clear coats, under close supervision.
- Demonstrate exceptional ability to perform tasks with minimal errors or rework.
- Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required, including respirators and hazardous materials PPE.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Prior experience in aircraft painting and preparation is highly desirable.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Ability to climb ladders and work from elevated positions while using proper equipment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
- Proficiency in hand sanding techniques and machine sanding is essential.
- Familiarity with different grit types for various sanding applications is necessary.
- Ability to pass a respirator fit test and wear a respirator when required.
