What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative position at AXEL – Global grease partner?
JOB SUMMARY:
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for all aspects of local customer service and front office support. These responsibilities include customer communications, accurate order entry, generating Bill of Ladings for shipment of orders, front desk management and general office activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review and enter local customer orders into ERP system daily with high level of accuracy
- Communicate with customers regarding the status of their order in a timely manner
- Process invoicing for shipments same day, when possible
- Interface with operations regarding customer orders
- Ensure accurate contract pricing and send to customers as necessary
- Assist in the collection of payments as appropriate
- Answer, assist and direct all incoming telephone calls and visitors to appropriate parties or locations and greet visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Provide driving directions and direct drivers to appropriate docks
- Perform related clerical work such as scanning, typing, and filing
- Ensure that all back up documents are scanned
- Prepare shipping labels and schedule FedEx and UPS pickups and deliveries
- Address customer complaints as necessary
- Ensures that a professional image is maintained through all communications both internally and externally
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- High School Diploma or GED Required AND at least 2 years of related experience
- Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word and Power Point
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent customer relation skills required
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people
- Dependable, reliable attendance is required
- Must be able to multi-task with accuracy
