Job Summary
Axe Building Services is seeking an experienced, dependable Floor Care Technician to join our Weekend Floor Crew. The ideal candidate has thorough, hands-on knowledge of commercial carpet care and hard floor maintenance and consistently delivers high-quality results.
Responsibilities:
Perform commercial floor care services, including but not limited to:
- Carpet cleaning: hot water extraction, pre-treatment, spotting, and stain removal
- Hard floor maintenance: stripping, waxing, sealing, scrubbing, recoating, and burnishing
- Care of a variety of floor surfaces, including VCT, tile, sealed concrete, and others
- Operating and maintaining equipment such as auto scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, and carpet extractors
- Selecting appropriate chemicals, pads, and methods for each surface
- Preparing work areas before service and ensuring a clean, professional finish
- Following all company procedures, safety protocols, and chemical handling guidelines
Requirements:
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to every scheduled shift
- Proven commercial floor care experience, including carpet extraction and strip/wax
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Availability for weekend shifts. Scheduled days vary, so flexibility is required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable transportation
Preferred:
- Experience in industrial or large commercial facilities
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
