Job Description

Axalta Coating Systems in Fort Madison, Iowa, is looking for a qualified Control Room Operator - Rotating shift

The selected candidates will be required to perform a variety of duties such as:

• Monitor and operate equipment and facilities, including field equipment, ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures.
• Maintain safety standards at all times and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary.
• Perform filtration and filling tasks as required in process and final quality tests. Perform minor maintenance functions within their operating area and within their level of expertise.
• Rotates through various roles within the area of responsibility & be available to work overtime
• Perform computer transactions that are required of the role
• Work in a self-managed team environment with Lead Operator’s
• All Control Room Operator job opportunities will work a 7 day a week 12-hour rotating shift schedule (Average 42hr. /wk.)

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
  
  

It is preferred that qualified candidates possess the following skill sets:

• Previous manufacturing experience
• Previous experience operating fork trucks
• Working knowledge of personal computers
• Capability to learn quickly and work in a self-directed team environment
