Job Summary
The Compliance Reporting Assistant is responsible for supporting environmental, regulatory, and product compliance activities across the Minneapolis facility. This role focuses on emissions reporting, chemical data management, supplier compliance documentation, and cross-functional support to ensure adherence to applicable environmental, safety, and customer regulatory requirements. The position works closely with plant personnel, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams to maintain accurate records, improve reporting processes, and respond to compliance requests.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Environmental & Emissions Reporting

  • Collect, review, and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all applicable materials.
  • Collect and manage data related to Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), Greenhouse Gases (GHG), Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAP), and other environmental and sustainability reporting requirements.
  • Review SDSs, plant usage records, and waste shipment documentation to support the generation of monthly and annual emissions reports.
  • Maintain accurate databases of chemical usage and emissions data.
  • Collaborate with onsite personnel and external consultants to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and processes.

Compliance & Regulatory Support

  • Execute and support compliance requests related to environmental, regulatory, and customer requirements.
  • Assist Quality, Customer Service, Purchasing, and R&D teams by providing compliance and process information as requested.
  • Support Purchasing and Manufacturing in evaluating new suppliers for technical, quality, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide technical and compliance support during the introduction of products from new suppliers.

Supplier & Customer Documentation

  • Obtain, review, and manage supplier statements and compliance documentation for customer and regulatory requests, including but not limited to: Animal Origin, CPSIA, Benzo phenol / BPA, California Proposition 65, Certificates of Origin, Conflict Minerals, California Transparency in Supply Chains, Canadian Domestic Substances List, CONEG, FDA compliance, Allergens, Heavy Metals, Latex, Legal Harvesting, Letters of Guarantee, RoHS, Toxicity levels, REACH and other regulatory requests.

Training & Records Management

  • Manage training records and related compliance documentation.
  • Support audits and internal reviews by maintaining organized and accurate records and providing reporting as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Complete customer surveys related to compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in employee committees as assigned by management.
  • Perform other duties as required to support compliance and business needs.

Education and Work Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
