We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Junior Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in preparing accurate project cost estimates, supporting project bidding, and ensuring profitability. Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed construction estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements using tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate pricing and scope definition.
- Develop comprehensive bid proposals that include labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Conduct negotiations with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor project costs throughout the bidding process to ensure estimates align with budget expectations.
- Assist in contract review and support contract negotiations to ensure terms are favorable and clear.
- Support cost control efforts during project execution by tracking expenses and identifying potential overruns.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction estimating best practices, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to project management activities by providing accurate cost forecasts and supporting schedule development.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and site operations.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software.
- Solid knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, pricing strategies, and negotiation techniques.
- Experience with construction site activities and understanding of construction management principles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Relevant experience in project management or construction management is preferred but not required. This role is integral to the successful planning and execution of our construction projects, requiring a motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to estimating challenges.

Pay: $49,874.89 - $60,064.38 per year
