Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our site construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy machinery and a solid understanding of construction site safety protocols. This role involves operating various types of equipment to support site construction projects, ensuring efficient and safe operations across multiple job sites. Candidates with a background in construction, mechanical knowledge, and experience with different types of trucks and machinery are encouraged to apply.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and Caterpillar machinery to perform earthmoving, grading, and material handling tasks.
- Manage and operate specialized trucks including front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, and roll-off trucks for transporting materials.
- Use concrete mixers and other construction machinery to assist in building foundations and structures.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment before use to ensure safety and proper functioning.
- Follow project plans and instructions from site supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.
- Maintain a clean work environment by performing basic maintenance on equipment and reporting any issues promptly.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents on-site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and similar machinery.
- Construction site experience is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy equipment.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving dump trucks, tanker trucks, front loader trucks, or similar vehicles is a plus.
- Familiarity with concrete mixers and farm machinery is advantageous.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy loads safely.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation in construction environments.
- Relevant certifications or training in heavy equipment operation is preferred but not mandatory. This position offers an opportunity for experienced operators to contribute significantly to large-scale construction projects while utilizing their technical skills in a dynamic environment.

Pay: $24.85 - $29.93 per hour
