We're looking for a Product Owner who wants to work on something genuinely different: someone who takes ownership, collaborates closely, and is ready to tackle everything from day-to-day features to complex architectural challenges.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Product Owner role based in Orange County, CA. The Product Owner will be responsible for defining and prioritizing product features, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the development of high-impact solutions. Responsibilities include translating business needs into technical requirements, managing product backlogs, conducting market research, and facilitating communication between stakeholders, engineers, and developers to ensure a seamless development process that aligns with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Product vision and strategy
- Work closely with the SVP of Strategy & Product to help create products that fit the company vision and meet client needs
Help prioritize and manage features
- Assist with grooming prioritized backlogs (from a product standpoint, not a project management standpoint)
- Assign importance to incoming client, internal team, and product needs
- Assist with incorporating feature requests into product roadmap
- Communicate with VP of Product on relevant timeline concerns
Innovation, ideation, and creation of new features
- Assist with gathering requirements
- Determine optimal solutions and define scope
- Develop user stories and define acceptance criteria
UX and UI Design
- Understand and advocate for customer needs and desires
- Create user journeys
- Create wireframes
- Create copy
- User test wireframe prototype
Evaluate and review features before release
Develop and maintain product documentation and/or training
Qualifications
- Problem Solver - Creative mind that is able to think outside of the mold and solve complex problems with simple intuitive user experiences
- Curious and Driven - Constantly looking for how to move things forward and make things better
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiar with UX standards, practices, and terms
- Software Development experience to collaborate effectively with development teams and bring technical insights into decision-making
- Minimum of 1 year of experience doing relevant work
- Experience with wire-framing, and mockup tools such as Figma, Framer, Adobe XD, etc. preferred
- Experience with feature planning, and prioritization
- Proven ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments and meet project deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple items simultaneously
- Able to work well on a product team, and cross team with developers
