Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide medication management and monitor patient responses to treatments.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care providers and specialists, to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in case management and support services for individuals with disabilities.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in psychiatric care.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Board Certified (PMHNP-BC).
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical skills in patient care across various settings, including Level I Trauma Centers and outpatient facilities.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including toddlers and adults.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
