Our client, a manufacturer of plumbing equipment, seeks an experienced mechanical assembler to work 1st shift (7AM-3:30PM). This position offers medical, dental, and retirement benefits.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssembly of water faucet and pressure valve components using powered and manual hand tools, such as air screwdrivers, impact wrenches, and power drillsVisually inspect component parts for defects prior to assemblyFollow written and verbal work instructionsIdentify parts required to complete assemblyNotify supervisor of part shortagesLight assembly of smaller products, subassembly of components, picking and packing parts, etc.Required Skills/Abilities:Must have basic math skills and computer skillsGood communication skills - English requiredEducation and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalentManufacturing experiencePhysical Requirements:Ability to Lift up to 35 pounds.Other physical demands of the job include, but are not limited to, bending, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and walking.Company DescriptionAway Staffing Services is a growing agency that provides permanent manufacturing jobs in the Chicagoland area.
