Job Description
Awareness Pelvic Health is a pelvic floor physical therapy practice built around a root-cause, non-traditional approach to care. We treat complex pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction, chronic GI symptoms, and pregnancy and postpartum recovery, for patients who are often walking through our door after being dismissed elsewhere. We have a trauma/nervous system care approach and focus on quality care to those we serve.
This is an in-office position at our clinic at 4203 Montrose Blvd, Suite 400. The role involves scheduling patients, answering phones, managing faxes and emails, following up on documents with providers, handling day-to-day administrative work including calendar and pipeline management, and maintaining office organization. Awareness of pelvic floor therapy is helpful but not required; we're willing to train the right person.
Qualifications
- Self-directed. Able to work through a task list independently without step-by-step management.
- Organized. Able to manage a schedule, a calendar, and a patient pipeline accurately and consistently.
- Dependable, punctual, and reliable.
- Comfortable on the phone and in person, initiating conversations with people you don't know.
- Able to clearly and confidently speak on our values and how we serve patients.
- Comfortable and professional discussing sensitive topics, including sexual health and intimate symptoms, with patients of all backgrounds.
- High school diploma or higher.
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience; healthcare experience preferred but not required.
- Able to navigate multiple computer applications simultaneously.
- Proficient in Google Workspace, Canva, and open to learning new software.
- Women's health experience is a plus, not a requirement.
Benefits
- Pay: $19.50-21.50 per hour
- Schedule: Tuesday 9am-3pm (administrative day), Wednesday and Thursday 9am-6pm, Friday 9am-4pm (Position to grow to full time role)
- 1 week paid time off
Responsibilities
- Effectively interact with patients and therapists in the clinic
- Answer phone calls, manage faxes and emails
- Assist with scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling patient appointments
- Manage patient scheduling and communicate scheduling changes with all parties involved
- Communicate with referring providers and follow up on documents needed
- Set up and turn over treatment rooms, including our Reset Room, between patients
- Handle day-to-day administrative work: mail, calendar management, and the patient pipeline
- Own our systems: email sequences, Google Drive organization, and basic content support in Canva
- Maintain office organization and presentation
- Manage patient logs and our Electronic Medical Record system
- Assist with marketing needs as assigned
- Potential other administrative duties as needed or assigned
- Driven to learn and communicate about pelvic floor therapy to patients and providers
