This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jackson, MI. The Fundraising & Events Manager will oversee the planning and execution of fundraising initiatives and events to support AWARE's mission. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing fundraising strategies, cultivating donor relationships, managing event logistics, and coordinating with community stakeholders. The role also involves preparing promotional materials, tracking fundraising goals, and identifying opportunities for new events or partnerships to enhance community engagement and financial support.
- Proven experience in event management, logistical coordination, and planning for fundraising events
- Skills in donor relations, sponsorship cultivation, and relationship management
- Strong writing, marketing, and communications skills, including the creation of promotional materials
- Effective organizational, research, and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in digital tools, including fundraising platforms, event management software, and social media for marketing
- Flexibility to work onsite and attend events as required, including evenings or weekends
- Knowledge of the nonprofit and/or human services sectors is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Nonprofit Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
