We are seeking a Desktop Specialist to join our IT team and play a key role in delivering a seamless technology experience across the organization. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on technical support while also contributing to initiatives that enhance and evolve our IT environment. Essential Job Functions
- Provide responsive, high-quality on-site technical support, prioritizing and resolving issues and escalations within defined SLAs
- Configure, deploy, and maintain desktop and laptop systems, including imaging and managing system image libraries
- Maintain and track hardware and software inventory, ensuring accuracy and lifecycle management
- Monitor and optimize endpoint performance, ensuring systems and peripherals operate reliably and efficiently
- Partner with vendors and internal teams (Network, Server, and Applications) to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Support and maintain IT infrastructure spaces, including network closets and server rooms, in coordination with service providers
- Implement system and software upgrades to improve performance and user experience
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex or non-routine technical issues independently
- Communicate clearly and effectively with end users, ensuring a positive support experience
- Assist with office IT needs in the Burlington location, including coordination of equipment and supplies
Note: In addition to Essential Functions, the candidate also performs similar work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience, plus 2 years of relevant IT support experience
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines and response targets
- Proven ability to build collaborative working relationships across teams
- Experience supporting Windows environments (desktop and server), macOS, and familiarity with Linux systems
Pay Range: $64,000 - $80,000 - $95,000
