Tube Bender - 2nd Shift

About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: Tube Bender
• Pay Rate: $23.25/Hour
• Location: Ramsey, MN
• Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday-Thursday 3:30PM-2AM with required O/T as posted.
• Position Type: Temp to Hire

Requirements and Qualifications:
1. Minimum six months metal tube bending experience required.
2. Knowledge of bending equipment and ability to adjust and solve problems as needed.
3. Ability to operate and/or read a tape measure, calipers, protractors blueprints and process sheets.
4. Ability to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, write and understand).
5. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
6. Manufacturing experience preferred.
7. Lift up to 50lbs.
8. Walk, stand, bend, twist/turn, reach overhead and grasp tools as necessary.
9. Operate hoist, cart caddy and manual pallet jack.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform all functions of tube bending ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.
2. Set up, adjust, and operate bending machine and equipment to bend metal structural tube, rods, bars, angles, pipe, channels, extrusions, etc. to specifications.
3. Fabricate directly from drawings, samples, or instructions without supervision.
4. Select all layouts, templates, or check fixtures.
5. Develop layouts from drawings, samples, or instructions.
6. Select all tools, dies, and plane gauge requirements.
7. Check bent parts to drawing specification and tolerance using proper measurement and inspection equipment.
8. Identify, properly tag, and remove non-conforming materials.
9. Complete all required paperwork in a correct and timely manner.
10. Perform first article runs and communicate recommendations as appropriate.
11. Communicate with other departments as necessary.
12. Operate hoist, cart caddy and manual pallet jack.
13. Draw own layouts.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
