Machine Operator - 1st Shift

About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: Machine Operator
• Pay Rate Range: $17.00-$21.00/hr
• Location: Delano, MN
• Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Thursday 6AM-3:30PM, & Friday 6AM-10AM.
• Overtime is mandatory when required, schedules may vary.
• Position Type: Temp to Hire

Requirements and Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• May be required to lift/move up to 50 pounds independently.
• Strong math skills, visual inspection and computer abilities necessary.
• Must be able to interpret and work from prints, work orders, specifications, and verbal direction.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitors, measures, and records work pieces per documented procedures by testing / inspecting product using a variety of metrologies including, but not limited to: calipers, micrometers, height gages, thread gages, pin gages, check fixtures, and laser vision to ensure accuracy of machine operation and conformance to Quality standards.
• Performs minor machine maintenance and preventative checklist such as checking machine fluids, oiling machines, dies, or work pieces, ensuring emergency stops and mats are in place.
• Demonstrate consistent commitment to quality and possess exceptional attention to detail.
• Demonstrates familiarity and consistently complies with ISO 9001 standards and practices.
• Maintains clean and efficient workspace.
• References prints and work instructions to determine the appropriate materials, resources, and proper tooling for machine set-up to complete job specifications.
• Installs, aligns, and locks specific punches, dies, or fixtures in machine beds in accordance with work instructions.
• May assist in training machine operators.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists in solving work problems.
• Machine Operator is responsible for tending fabrication machines that bend and shape metal tubing and structures. Other duties may be assigned.
